Choosing a High-Flyer

Interviewing a High Flyer

Congratulations, you've scheduled your interview with your high-flyer! Each interview takes 20 minutes, so to maximize your time, here are some tips & tricks:

Know the candidate

Prior to the interview, thoroughly review the High-Flyers profile and proposal. Look for specific experiences, skills, and achievements that may be relevant to the role.

Prepare questions

Consider what you want to know about the candidate. Ask questions about the candidate's competencies, experiences, and skills that are critical to the job. Keep in mind that the majority of our high-flyers are still studying and therefore don't have 10 years of full-time experience, but they do have a great attitude, creative insights and lots of hard and soft skills!

Sample questions

  • Why did you apply for this job/company?
  • Social media function: Have you researched our channels, what did you think of them and what would you change?
  • If you were to start tomorrow, how would you start?
  • How do you manage your work and school and how do you set priorities?
  • Can you give an example of a work/project you're proud of? And what was your role?
  • Sales: How did you meet prospects and close deals? Can you share your KPIs and numbers?

Know what you're offering ‍

Candidates will have questions about the role/project, company, and company culture. Make sure you can answer these questions and present your company in a way that appeals to the candidate.

Schedule the interview

Carefor a quiet environment without distractions before the interview. Tip: Test your microphone and video before the call, including starting the Zoom, to avoid having to update the software at the last minute ;-)

Think soft skills

While technical skills are important, soft skills such as communication, problem solving, and proactivity are also very important. Pay attention to these skills during the job interview.

Practical questions to ask:

  • When can you start and how many hours per week are you available to work?
  • For what period can you commit?

By following these steps, your company can have an effective and successful job interview and make the best match possible. Good luck!
